How We Do It Listen Before any work begins it is imperative that we understand what you are trying to achieve. Not just for your land, but also environmentally, socially and economically. Landlink wants to get a feel for your ‘business plan’ so that we can personalise your project with innovation and a point of difference. Everyone is unique and so is the land you own, so we want to know what you want for your land. That way we can take your vision and your needs, and provide solutions that will ultimately meet your objectives.
Communicate At Landlink we take special care to gather all the relevant information affecting your land or project and report to you. We use plain English (where possible!) to explain the complex planning and surveying systems. Early consultation with key stakeholders is often a priority. Our transparent process allows you to understand what we are doing and why. We welcome your call – there will almost always be a real person in the office to talk to – and the opportunity to meet and discuss any aspect of any project.
Lead Good results don’t just happen, projects need champions and drivers. The staff at Landlink understand this and that is why each project has a Project Manager that will be involved from the beginning to the end. The entire team provides the necessary support to achieving project objectives based on their expertise and skill. Leading projects in this way we incorporate some of our business’s core philosophies.
Good Design Landlink strives to achieve good design in all aspects of every project. The presentation of our plans and reports is always to a high standard to ensure that information is clear and concise. We are a signatory to the Urban Design Protocol that seeks to champion the introduction of good design into New Zealand’s built environment. This will be achieved by pursuing seven goals – known as the “Seven C’s”:
Integrated Capabilities We can (and do) compete with any firm in the country in our specialist areas. But because we know we can’t do it all we work closely with other professionals when necessary. Although we are not a large company (nor do we want to be) our associates and the consultants we work with are highly skilled. We constantly work with various kinds of engineers and designers as well as specialists in heritage, law, the natural environment and property valuation.
Cutting Edge Technology Landlink employs the latest technology when completing day to day tasks – including robotic theodolites, GPS equipment, digital cameras, modern computer hardware and up to date software. With these tools our staff can complete their work efficiently and effectively.
Professional Development We pride ourselves in maintaining appropriate skill levels as our business develops and diversifies. Internal and external training on technical equipment, software, best surveying practice, resource management law and planning practice, project management and design matters are essential for all staff. We believe that this will foster new ideas and fresh approaches to our work. At least one field staff member on all jobs has current certification in first aid and/or traffic management to ensure that all our work is completed safely.
Achieve Ultimately the success of our business can be measured through consistent achievement. At Landlink we take great pleasure in not only achieving the goals that have been set, but exceeding them - as well as our client’s expectations. In the volatile world of property development, nothing is certain, but we continue to provide clear advice and guidance to our clients so that they can achieve realistic and meaningful goals every time. |
